Farra Kober is the Director of Social Media and Community for MSNBC.
Farra has been with MSNBC since 2008. She began her work with the network in TV production, and transitioned to the digital team in 2011.
As Senior Manager for Social Media, Farra oversees social media content production and community development for MSNBC, both online and on-air. Her work with the digital team helped lead MSNBC to be named a 2012 Webby Award Honoree for social media use in the 2012 election.
Farra also has a role in producing social media elements for many special events. Her work with the NBC News team on Education Nation helped earn them the 2012 Webby Award for Events & Live Webcasts. In 2012 she served as social media producer for NBC's Emmy Award winning coverage of the London Summer Olympics, producing several prime time segments, including the premiere of "The Social Download" with Ryan Seacrest. This team was honored with the 2012 Social TV Award for "Best Special Event".
Farra is passionate about uniting MSNBC and the vast community that loves it through new and innovative means.
She lives on Manhattan's Upper West Side with her husband, Andrew, and dog, Murray.
